Ring! Ring! Ring!
The familiar sound of the alarm
rings exactly 4:30 every morning.
There he goes,
carefully crawls off the bed,
carefully not to wake his family up,
carefully packs his food,
carefully ready to go to work.

Coming to this country,
leaves everything behind
accepts everything,
to let…
his children have a better future.

He…
patiently tries to make everything alright,
patiently accepts all the scronful words,
patiently ignores all the discriminations.

Watching him endure and suffer,
but hurting inside;
I feel useless, unavailing
that i can’t help him
in many situations and conditions.

The only thing i can do
is to promise myself
to study harder
to be successful
to make my parents be happy
especially you, daddy
I love you.
